
Well, I think I made 2 or 3 things with my hurt finger. lol The original recipe I found said to add a 1/2 cup sugar. Come to think of it, I can’t remember if that was for a full or a half sized watermelon. Well, I only had a half size and let me tell you, that was WAY too much for me. Good thing I was making this in batches. I only added a 1/4 c AND water and it turned out perfect. Next time I make this, I’ll remember to add the sumac and gochugaru to the blender and I think it’ll bond a bit better. The gochugaru tends to sink if not shaken enough.
1/2 Watermelon
2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
2 limes, juiced
1 tbsp Sumac
1 tsp Gochugaru to start and add more depending how spicy. The spice is warm and back palette and creeps up on you. So take a sip, think about it, listen to Chappell Roan Pink Pony Club and know that I was running around West Hollywood in 2005, then assess your spice level.
